Sarah Linner Quie
Prairie School of Dance was started in 1997 by founder and advisor Sarah Linner Quie. Mrs. Quie graduated from St. Olaf College with a Bachelors degree in Dance and Religion and has taught the joy of dancing for almost four decades. Sarah was the Dance Director at Macalester College, MN from 1978-80. She also taught at Saint Mary’s College and the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN, where she choreographed Sacred dance performances for chapel services from 1990-96. She was the Dance Director for the Early Childhood Development Center at the University of Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s College in South Bend. Mrs. Quie has founded and directed three dance schools; St. Anthony School of Dance in St. Paul (currently St. Paul Ballet), the Conservatory of Dance in South Bend and is currently the Director at Prairie School of Dance. Sarah was the Dance Co-Director of St. Anthony Sacred Dance Company from 1996-2014. She founded Cathedral Dance Festival in 2013, bringing dance schools together in a wholesome environment for education, performance and adjudication in Eden Prairie, MN. Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband, three sons, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Sarah is a lifelong dancer, continuing to teach dance and lead workshops. She believes dance is a calling and is grateful to have dance as an expression of her Christian faith.
