Kelly Folwick
Kelly has always admired dance and grew up dancing in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Kelly graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. While in college, Kelly had the opportunity to perform through the UMN Dance Program in works by NYC based visiting artist, Gregory Dolbashian, and local artist, Penelope Freeh. She continued her training through the UMN Dance Program as well as various dance companies in the Twin Cities. She also spent two months in New York City dancing in Broadway Dance Center’s training program with a focus on contemporary where she was mentored by Ellenore Scott and Ginger Cox. Kelly has been sharing her passion for dance and science as a member of the Minnesota Dance Medicine Foundation (MDMF) since 2015. Through MDMF she helps bring the best practices for healthy dancing to the dance community. Kelly is currently working as a Physical Therapy Technician at Training HAUS where she gets to work with elite athletes and learn from the top sports medicine team while she is back in school to become a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. Kelly is very excited for her sixth year teaching at PSOD and cannot wait to share her passion and support for her students!
