Recreational Dress Code

Creative Dance & Dance with Me (ages 18mos-5)

• Pink, black or lavender leotard (skirt & ballet sweater optional)

• Light pink footless tights (dancers will go barefoot at times)

• Light pink leather ballet shoes

• Hair tied up away from the face

• Boys may wear black ballet shoes, solid colored shorts/pants and t-shirt

• Adults- moveable clothing

Ballet/Jazz/Tap (ages 5-6)

• Pink, black or lavendar leotard (skirt optional)

• Light pink tights

• Light pink ballet shoes & black tap shoes (Mary Jane style)

• Hair tied up away from face

• Boys may wear black ballet shoes, black shorts/pants, solid colored shirt

Ballet/Jazz/Tap (ages 6-12)
& Pre-Performing Arts

• Black tank or camisole leotard (no sleeve of skirt)

• Tan tights

• Optional for jazz/tap: dark colored, form-fitting capris, leggings or tights with solid black dance shorts

• Tan split-sole jazz shoes & black tap shoes (Mary Jane or lace up)

• Hair pulled back neatly in a ponytail or bun

Boys Pop Hop / Tap

• Solid colored t-shirt or long sleeve shirt

• Solid colored shorts or pants

• Black oxford style tap shoes & sneakers

Musical Theater & Tap

• Black leotard or form-fitting tank top

• Dark colored, form-fitting capris, leggings or black dance shorts

• Tan split sole, slip on jazz shoes (no lace-ups) and black tap shoes (Mary Jane style)

• Hair tied away from face in ponytail or bun

Adults

• Moveable attire

• Ballet- ballet shoes

• Tap- tap shoes

• Mindful Movement- barefoot or sneaker & bring your own mat

Jazz & Pop Hop

• Black leotard or form-fitting tank top

• Dark colored, form-fitting capris, leggings or black dance shorts

• Tan split sole, slip on jazz shoes (no lace-ups)

• Hair tied away from face in ponytail or bun

Ballet

• Black tank or camisole leotard

• Light pink tights

• Light pink leather or canvas ballet shoes

• Hair neatly in a bun

• Pointe- designated pointe leotard (MT757)

Sacred

• Black leotard or form-fitting tank top

• Dark colored, form-fitting capris, leggings or black tights with black dance shorts

• No shoes necessary (usually danced barefoot- please wear footless or convertible tights)

• Hair in ponytail or bun

PSOD's dress code is designed so dancers are not distracted and can adequately move during class and allows teachers to see proper technique and alignment. We value modesty, so we ask our dancers to cover to their midriffs in class and wear warm-ups while entering and exiting

our studios and buildings.
