PA Community Service Event: Sat. March 11th at Eden Prairie The Waters!
Hello PA Families!
We are looking forward to our PA Spotlight & PA Showcase performances next week, Feb. 24th & 25th, at EPHS's PAC. The dancers are working hard in the studios as they put the finishing touches on their dances before taking the stage! Looking ahead, PSOD is extremely excited to reintroduce the return of PSOD's PA Community Service Event Saturday, March 11th at Eden Prairie's The Waters! Since taking a pause and finding alternative ways to give back to our surrounding communities, we are happy to return and provide a performance for the residents of The Waters Senior Living Community.
More information will be released closer to the event, post next weekend's performances. However, PA dancers should expect to perform 1-2 of their PA Showcase dances this day before concluding the event chatting and mingling with the residents. Additionally, depending on the finalized show lineup, some PA Small Groups and/or Senior Soloists may be asked to perform, too!
PA Community Service Event 2023 at The Waters:
- 9:00am Dancer Drop Off at the Waters (431 Prairie Center Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55344)*
*Due to the limited parking and space at The Waters, we are asking that families drop off their dancer and pick up at the end of the event.
- 9:00-10:00am Warm Up & Spacing Rehearsal in PA Warm Ups
-10:00am Performance & mingling with the residents at The Waters
- 11:30am Dancer Pick Up
Dancers should arrive at The Waters in their PA Warm Ups (PA tank, PA joggers & PA jacket) with their skin-toned leotard as their base and their hair and make up done. Along with their costumes, costume pieces and all needed shoes, dancers should also bring their water bottle. PSOD staff will be on site and available to help with costume changes in our designated dressing room and any touch ups needed after the small rehearsal.
This is a beautiful event and an opportunity to give back to those in our Eden Prairie community. The residents love watching the love and passion of our dancers shine through as they perform. Oftentimes during conversation dancers learn that many of the residents have dance experience or fond memories dancing!
PA Power Up/PBT (8:45-9:30am/9:00-9:30am), PA Int/Adv. Ballet Technique (9:30-11:00am), PA Int/Adv. Pointe (11:00-11:45am), PA Adv Beginning Ballet Technique (11:45-1:15pm) and Beg./Pre-Pointe (1:15-2:00pm) will not meet as regularly scheduled this day so dancers can participate in the event.
