Our dancers performed beautifully on Saturday, March 7th @ Eden Prairie High School’s Auditorium.
Here are a few highlights!
We are proud of our dancers and are looking forward to Recital 2015!
This past weekend we had over 60 students and 7 teachers perform in our Psalm 139: Fearfully & Wonderfully Made by God production at Grace Church. Over a 1,000 people came to sit in the audience. The message of the show, just like God’s love, continues to ripple on. Here are a few images and words capturing the honesty, beauty, and power of the 139th Psalm.
Congratulations dancers! May you always remember YOU HAVE VALUE and continue to see others with value as well.
“You out did yourselves with the Psalm 139 production last night. My five-year old was totally tuned in and wanted to know what was happening every second. Today she has been practicing dancing like “the big girls dance.” So many delightful messages about God’s truth for girls, the show blessed us both so much. Thank you for taking this project on.”

Last August, fourteen of our Performing Arts dancers along with teachers, Mrs. Sarah Quie, Miss Sarah Steichen and Miss Mallory Dykema, and many supportive parents traveled to Washington DC to join dancers from around the country as part of Project Dance.
Project Dance is entirely volunteer run, and their goal is to “bring hope and healing through the universal language of dance.” One way they achieve this is by hosting 3-day events around the world in major cities, including an all day concert that is free to the public.
As part of this year’s Project Dance event in DC, the Prairie School of Dance Sacred Company had the opportunity to perform on the National Mall, just adjacent to the Washington Monument! They performed two core dances from the upcoming December 10th show, PSALM 139, choreographed by PSOD teacher, Mallory Dykema.
Over 200 dancers performed throughout the day, including a “flash mob” that the participant dancers joined in every hour on the hour all day long. The entire day was a powerful witness of the joy, celebration and praise expressed through dance to the hundreds of people taking in this free show in our nation’s Capitol.
The dancers attended classes taught by master dance teachers in categories like Hip Hop, Sacred, Musical Theater and Ballet, they went to worship with all the attendees and heard fabulous inspirational speakers as part of the 3-day event.
Our dancers also experienced: a customized “art and dance” tour including a visit to the National Gallery of Art and movement on the Mall with Pastor Joel Quie, tours of the Capitol and Arlington National Cemetery, and seeing the White House, Lincoln and Vietnam Memorials.
