Performing Arts Classes
Our Performing Arts classes are designed for the more serious student looking for a higher level of commitment to their growth as a dancer. It is an opportunity for our dancers to participate in a more disciplined, yet encouraging program. We offer Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, and Sacred Dance. We also have dance companies available exclusively for Performing Arts Students. Different from our Recreational Classes, Performing Arts students perform at least twice annually in our February Performing Arts Showcase and the Spring Dance Recital in June. Additional Performance venues have included fundraisers, benefits, local community events and tours to local churches and retreat centers in the Midwest.

Performing Arts students are required to take a minimum of 2 classes per week. Many of our students take up to 4 classes weekly to advance their technique and become well-rounded dancers competent in a variety of dance forms. Ballet students Levels 4,5&6 are required to take Ballet Technique class in addition to their 2 classes per week. Pointe students are required to take the Ballet Technique class prior to Pointe class for their safety and strength.
Students may participate in this program by audition only. Auditions take place in August by taking our Performing Arts Assessment Intensive. Dancers will then be placed in the appropriate class level.
Dance Company auditions are held at various times throughout the year. Please see Dance Companies for more information.
